KÖPENHAMN. Last night, riots once again shook the the city of Copenhagen, capital of Denmark. Police used teargas to break up the crowds, which had been destroying cobble stones and breaking window displays at Norrebro in central Copenhagen.
This morning, nearly 50 aggressive youngsters were arrested. What started as a friendly manifestation in memory of a youth centre called "Jagtvej", soon turned into outright riots.
On Griffengeldsgade, demonstrators built a 12 feet bonfire, into which they threw bicycles and construction wood. The smoke pillar form the fire could be seen all over Copenhagen.
